My Favorite Day!
My favorite day of the month is the day that the latest issue of Premier Agent Magazine arrives from the printer at my door step. I can’t wait to break open the box, tear the shrink wrap off the first bundle, and start going though the magazine page by page.
Even though I knew what the ads would look like (sold by Stephen Zappala and myself and designed by the very talented and creative Vanessa Vara), seen each editorial that would go on each page (written by Rita Santamaria, John Cruise, Ruben Gonzalez, Steven Kay, Barbara Davis, and others), determined which photos would be used (many taken by our photographer Gwen Juarez), and reviewed all of the pages on the initial pdf proof provided by Alana Dray, I am still very impressed that I (along with the above names) can produce such a beautiful magazine every month! One of my motivations to keep “raising the bar” on the quality of everything we do is my commitment to the 34 member Publisher’s Advisory Board to always produce a magazine “worthy” of their participation.
One of the “Founding Members” of that Publisher’s Advisory Board is this month’s cover honoree, Mr. Shad Bogany of ERA Bogany Properties. At the time I launched my first issue of REE Magazine in April 2002, Shad was the Chairman of the Houston Association of Realtors® and an absolute “must have” on the board. He accepted my invitation to be one of the original 7 members on that board. Shad was later honored on the cover of the October 2002 issue of REE.
A lot has happened in 9 years, wouldn’t you agree? Shad was recently installed as the Chair-elect of the Texas Association of Realtors® for 2012, is a frequently sought after speaker and lecturer, and yet still maintains a client base. He is more than just a Realtor®, lecturer, radio show host, business owner, and leader; he is (quite literally) a “beacon of light for the real estate community!” Just the way a lighthouse guides your way home through troubled waters, Shad does the same for his fellow agents and clients. You will enjoy his story.
Speaking of “stories”, Shad has also signed on to be one of the Co-Authors and chapters in my first book, “What the Super Stars of Real Estate Have in Common”. At press time for this magazine, my other Co- Authors include: Gary Stallings/RE/MAX Vintage, Cory & Milly Kammerdiener/New Home Programs. com, Justin Flanagan/Keller Williams Signature, Marion Franke/The Marion Franke Team, Bruce & Diane Kink/The Kink Team of Keller Williams Woodlands, Betty Bezemer/Keller Williams Memorial, Bobby Bryant/iBuy Realty, Lewis Walker/RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring, and most recently, Alma Sofia Logan/RE/MAX Real Estate Associates. Quite a line-up, wouldn’t you agree?
