Rising Stars & Super Stars
Happy New Year Everyone!
Welcome to your first issue of 2012!
In this issue we announce our choice for our “Rising Star of 2011” and give you an update on my first book (to be released in February).
About our “Rising Star” honor:
The criteria for our “Rising Star” honor was set by our Publisher’s Advisory Board.
The qualifications for a candidate included:
• Being full-time in real estate
• Having had no more than 2 years in the business
• Having an average of 20 transactions per year.
• Be of any age
Unlike N.A.R.’s “30 Under 30” issue and H.A.R.’s “Twenty Under Forty” honor, the board and I did not feel that age should be a factor for a “Rising Star”. We agreed that the honor should to those who were still considered “Rookies” in real estate and had the productivity to go with it.
Although there were over 12 nominations for the 2011 honor, only one individual (Jim Slack of Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors®) truly met all of the criteria. Many had been in real estate over the two year mark while others just did not have the transactions they needed to qualify.
Jim Slack was and is an ideal candidate and deserves every honor as terrific agent and as great guy! You will enjoy reading his story in our February issue. Please don’t hesitate to offer him your congratulations.
s you are aware, the cover honor or Premier Agent Magazine goes to an individual who is nominated by a member of our Publisher’s Advisory Board and has received a unanimous vote (all 34 members) of the board! The qualifications that they must consider has more to do with the qualities of the individual than the quantity of their sales or income. This is what make the cover honor the honor and prestige that it is.
This month’s cover honoree is no exception. Louanna Kiff of Realm Real Estate Professionals meets all of the qualifications and more. Barbara and I have enjoyed getting to know Louanna and her family and sharing her story with you this month.Also in this issue, we shine the spotlight on several amazing companies that you need to know.

I am really excited about this book. It has been a dream of mine since my first interview for the cover honor in April 2002 to be able to author a book of some of the great information that was shared with me by those (over 119 at press time) top agents who have graced the cover of our magazines.
